Deviations from the regular timetable
Monday 7 September to Friday 18 September 2026 – Stop No. 8, Holzdamm, cannot be served
Bus stop no. 8, “Holzdamm”, will not be served by buses on route A from Monday 7 September 2026 to Friday 18 September 2026 due to construction work. Instead, we recommend getting on and off at stop no. 6, Hauptbahnhof/Kirchenallee, or stop no. 7, Hauptbahnhof/Spitalerstrasse.
Saturday, September 12, 2026 – Demonstrations and A7 Elbtunnel Closure (Northbound)
On Saturday, September 12, several demonstrations may cause disruptions and delays at stop 6 – Hauptbahnhof/Kirchenallee from around midday onwards.
In addition, the Elbtunnel on the A7 motorway will be closed in the northbound direction. As a result, we expect significant traffic congestion, particularly within Hamburg and on alternative routes, which may lead to longer journey times. The Köhlbrand Bridge is also closed, which may further impact the traffic situation.

The Jungfernstieg / stop no. 16 will be closed all day on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, due to construction work.
As an alternative, we recommend boarding at Rathaus / stop no. 17.

Advent Saturdays 2024 – 30 November, 7, 14 and 21 December 2024; Rathaus stop not accessible
On the Advent Saturdays 30 November, 7 December, 14 December and 21 December 2024, the buses on line A cannot stop at stop no. 17, ‘Rathaus’, due to the Christmas parade. Instead, we recommend getting on and off at stop no. 7, Hauptbahnhof/Spitalerstraße or at stop no. 18, ‘Rödingsmarkt’.
