Experience Hamburg with the red double-deckers of Line A and stop your tour at the Landungsbrücken for a 1-hour harbour cruise or a cruise through the lights on the water. You can choose to take a barge, a passenger ship or a paddle steamer of the Abicht shipping company across the Elbe. On board the ships, the captains will entertain you live in German; the Abicht audio guide app is available in English.
With the harbour cruise ticket, you can choose between a 1-hour harbour cruise or an evening cruise to see the lights, which is operated by the Rainer Abicht shipping company.

On 24 December (Christmas Eve), the last tour takes place at 3:00 pm.

Our passenger ships RIVER STAR and HAMBURG and our paddle steamer LOUISIANA STAR are all barrier-free and can be accessed via a gangway. They also have appropriate sanitary facilities. Our luxury launches and our traditional launches are not barrier-free.
Worth knowing: Lights tour
The facades of the historic Speicherstadt, illuminated by the artist Michael Batz in 2001, and one of the largest ports in the world, a sea of lights at night, form the constantly changing backdrop of our unique illuminated boat tour, which is sure to inspire you.
The Port of Hamburg is an open seaport and therefore dependent on the tides. For this reason, it is not possible to navigate the canals and channels of the historic Speicherstadt at every date and time.
The evening harbour tour through the Port of Hamburg with Elbreederei Abicht promises an unforgettable experience along the picturesque banks of the Elbe in Hamburg. When the sun slowly sets and the lights of the city of Hamburg begin to sparkle, the historic buildings, the modern HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie and the imposing harbour cranes are bathed in an enchanting sea of lights. The Elbe shipping company Abicht invites passengers to take a romantic evening cruise that shows the city from a unique perspective.
As the ships glide gently along the Elbe, passengers can admire the illuminated landmarks of the city. Each attraction shines in its nocturnal splendour, giving the cruise a very special atmosphere. Our experienced captains on board provide interesting information about the sights and the history of the city, so that passengers can appreciate not only the beauty but also the significance of the illuminated places along the route.
As the city lights drift by and the evening draws to a close, the evening lights cruise with Elbreederei Abicht is an unforgettable experience that guests will remember for a long time to come. It is an opportunity to discover a new side to Hamburg and to admire the city in its nocturnal splendour. Experience our evening harbour cruise and add a highlight to the end of your day.
A wonderful evening trip to the historic and illuminated Speicherstadt and through the sea of lights of the Port of Hamburg. The route depends on the tides (low and high tides in the Port of Hamburg), so our experienced skippers decide before or during the trip whether it is possible to pass through the canals and canals of the historic Speicherstadt.
Enjoy our Hamburg harbour tour in the evening and discover the Port of Hamburg from a completely new perspective.
Please register at our harbour cruise pavilion (kiosk) at the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, bridge 1 at the top of the promenade before each departure. Our staff will be happy to provide you with information about which ship in our fleet we will use for the evening light cruise and where the ship will depart from.
We offer interesting evening trips during major maritime events in Hamburg, such as the Hamburg Harbour Birthday or the Hamburg Cruise Days and New Year’s Eve.
St. Pauli Piers, Bridge 4
We recommend that you arrive at the meeting point at least 30–45 minutes before departure to ensure that you get a good spot.
Boarding for the Christmas lights cruise begins one hour before departure.
